mdcrim Posted March 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2013 We had initially booked Cosol for an island tour which looks fantastic. But it seems like a really long day, much of it in a van on narrow, winding roads. One of our group is susceptible to car sickness and the rest aren't sure they want to spend so much time in a vehicle. The volcano sounds cool, but we'd want time to soak in the mud bath. The waterfall area also sounds nice but some reviews have indicated it's somewhat of a tourist trap. The alternatives we are considering are a day pass at Ti Kaye ($75 with island divers) or a snorkel cruise with Dolphin Dive Adventures ($50), mainly because it seems like that trip may visit areas other tours don't go to. Money isn't really the issue, although everyone wants to get the best bang for the buck. We're really just trying to figure out the best way to spend our day... Suggestions? sparky1964 Posted March 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2013 Cosol also does custom tours where you can make your own itinerary.
Rare Fletcher Posted March 25, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2013 If money is no object, I'd take a helicopter tour of the southern part of the island - that way you will see the Pitons without putting up with the grottiness of the public area of that beach - and then take a taxi north where the best beaches are.
