You should call DCL or your TA and request a table by yourselves.

I feel that late seating will increase those odds to 90%.

 

No appointment for formal photos that I am aware. Just line up. It can get crowded. Get there early. The photographers are usually there before and after each dinner seating.

There are usually eight or so photographers scattered around, each with a different backdrop. Pick out the ones you like and they will take several poses. Of course if you want photos with all the princesses the line gets pretty long and you move from one princess to the next. Grand-daughter really enjoyed this.

 

Did see Peter Pan sneak into the back of a formal night photo shot of a group on the stairs - they didn't notice him there.
