Playtennis Posted March 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2013 Does Oceania have a "Blue Nose" or "Arctic Circle" ceremony when crossing the Arctic Circle? Obviously this won't resemble the same kind of 'ceremony' (which could be interpreted as solemn) as we had in the Navy (which was more bacchanalian). If there is such a celebration then I will take my Blue Nose certificate - first one earned in 1987 - with me to prove that I've "been there-done that"....not that I am opposed to bacchanal

Yes they did Do not ask what they did because it was on the pool deck in the cold & I did not go out  But you do get a certificate to mark the occasion Lyn

I would be interested to hear what ceremonies that sub-mariners (please-accent on the second syllable not the first) go through.
