Sheraton Day Pass ?

We were just there from Carnival Fascination in April. It was fantastic!!! In 2011 we did the Blue Lagoon dolphin swim which was also great - book it yourself not through the cruiseline. We had printed out the info from Sheraton website where the day pass was 25pp so that is what they charged us.

We took the #10 jitney - no wait at all and 1.25pp. The return driver was great and gave us a tour on the way back to port. The Sheraton was gorgeous - 3 pools, outside bar and restaurant. We had no problem finding chairs - did wait about 10 minutes for towels. All non-motorized water sports are free -have to fill out a voucher for kids. We did the kayaks, stand up paddle boat and the kids climbed on bouncy things in the ocean. Teenagers were thrilled there is also basketball and beach volleyball.

SO glad we did the Sheraton!!!!

I just want to make sure you are talking about the Sheraton in Nassau, is that correct? We are on a 5 day cruise (Ecstasy) leaving in 11 days and I'm trying to plan something for DH, DS(9) and myself that I won't foul up (directions, prices, taxi/jitney, how to , etc) and won't break the bank. Any input would be GREATLY appreciated! Oh, does the pass include lunch/drinks of any kind?

We did a day pass to the Sheraton in Nassau last year. It was great. Very easy to get to. It did include lunch for a set dollar amount. We got two meals and a strong daiquiri to share.

If you buy the passes from this site it includes lunch and a drink I believe

The pictures at link above are pretty accurate. If you buy the day pass from the Sheraton that day ($30 for 13+, $15 for 12 and under) it does not include lunch. If you book a day room ($99 for 2 + $10 each additional person) it does not include lunch.

This really was a FABULOUS resort to spend the day. We did the room booking. They have:

  • Chairs on a very nice beach with a roped off area for swimming. Some chairs have an 'island style' umbrella but most were taken when we got there.
  • Several pools with waterfalls and one pool with a swim up bar. They had a band playing island music while we were there.
  • Outside and inside restaurants and a connected casino with the Wyndham (I went through the casino as they have a Starbucks down there and it was pretty dead during the day)
  • Free, towels, kayaks and standup paddleboards for the kids
  • Some folks are between Wyndham and Sheraton beaches (owned by same folks so can use either beach) renting Jet Skis. We did this - he started at $150 for hr and having said no a few times got it down to $120. You can take it way out in the ocean and the kids had a blast doing this.
  • You do get hit up with 'vendors' at times (jet skis, skirts, tshirts, etc) but they weren't that bad and wasn't really constant so didn't bother us.

We took a taxi each way and they did give us a little tour which was nice - $24 each way inc tip. Took about 20 minutes or so and you are hit up IMMEDIATELY in the disembarkation area with drivers so just grab one. We were asked so much I thought it was a scam and told family to wait until we got outside on the street but once there - no drivers or taxi stand so actually had to go back in to get a driver. They say the #10 Jitney is easy but we didn't want to chance it and just wanted to get there and back as fast as possible.

Hope this helps - we definitely had a great day there!

(PS - if doing the paddleboards - make sure kids add sunscreen on feet and legs - my boys forgot and reflections on water really hit ya!)

Thank you so much for your response! Was it $60/adults and $40/kids for the pass including lunch and drinks? I did find the bahamasforaday dot com site where I can reserve our spots. Did you take bus #10 from the port? Just don't want to mess this up... it's alot to take in for a first timer and I tend to get all stressed wanting things to be perfect. Geez, my vacations are alot of work, lol!

Oh wow... I just saw that you are in Sevierville. We used to live there out past the high school. Small world!

Thank you for your response. This is alot of good information. We are on a 5 nighter M-F, and I'm hearing that elegant night will be on Tues. Any ideas if I'm hearing correctly? I'd like to do the Sheraton thing on the day that is NOT the same as elegant night. Thanks again!

We just walked from the port. It was a year ago so I really don't remember the price. But I think it was around $50. Wherever I reserved it, it did say that lunch vouchers were included.

If you walked from the port, it sounds like you were at the British Colonial Hilton (just beyond Senior Frogs). They have a day pass you can buy for $60 (price went up), that includes a food/drink voucher.

The Sheraton (I believe) is about a 15-20 min cab ride from the port.

Yes. Maybe that was it. Sorry for the mix-up.
