Solarium Pool on MSC Divina

I read the following about the Top 18 Solarium info that MSC will begin in the summer on certain ships. I would love to take advantage of this plan if I knew that it truly would be "adults only".

Besides the mister to cool off with I think there is a whirlpool in the Solarium area..... Is this correct? No regular pool on Deck 18 except Yacht Club Pool?

Does anyone have the proposed US rates for the Top 18 plan?

Thanks.

Barbara

On the top decks of MSC Splendida, MSC Fantasia, MSC Divina and MSC Preziosa - that will be christened in Genoa, Italy, on 23 March 2013 - MSC travellers will soon be able to soak up the sun in style at the new Top 18 Exclusive Solarium, an adult-only sanctuary of serenity boasting premium deck space and stunning sea views. With its own dedicated spa service, bar menu andcomplimentary delicious fruit skewers, Top 18 is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and watch the waves go by.

Designed exclusively for MSC Cruises’ Fantasia class ships, Top 18 Exclusive Solarium will be available from the beginning of the 2013 summer season.

Greeted at a private entrance on deck 18 by dedicated staff, Top 18 guests are provided with a refreshing chilled towel and escorted to their own personal sunbed, where they can while away the day in perfect peace and harmony. For those who prefer relaxing in the shade, or for sun worshippers taking a break from tanning, a selection of beautiful, wide-brimmed cocoons is also available.

Perfect for couples looking for a romantic hideaway, for groups of friends, and for mums and dads searching for some quiet time, every detail of the Top 18 experience has been designed to turn relaxation into an art form, from sunrise to sunset.

For those who believe that a day of relaxation is not complete without a massage, there’s no need to interrupt precious tanning time for a trip to the MSC Aurea Spa. With a specially tailored menu of express spa treatments available in the solarium itself, guests can benefit from an intense wellbeing treatment while they sunbathe: exclusive reflexology and facial relax treatments can be enjoyed directly from personal sunbeds, while various head, neck and shoulder massages are available from the solarium’s private massage chair. Lasting up to 20 minutes, these express treatments are the perfect way to instantly de-stress and re-energize body and mind.

The area’s water mister is the perfect way to cool off sun-drenched skin when temperatures soar, the solarium’s Tiki bar menu offers an extensive range of delicious and nutritious drinks and coolers to keep healthy and hydrated, and, with complimentary fresh fruit skewers served four times a day, it’s clear that MSC has thought of everything to keep Top 18 guests feeling and looking great during a relaxing day at sea.

What’s more, entry to this exclusive world of relaxation and wellbeing couldn’t be simpler, with great value daily and cruise-long access passesavailable at the ships’ reception areas or directly at the entrance to the solarium.

I have just returned from MSC Divina which has the Top 18 solarium. There is a whirlpool as well as showers up there and the views are amazing. The nearest pool is aft on deck 14.

Here are some photos, bad weather this day but they will give you an impression of the area.

I'm sure I saw a sign saying it was 18 only or I read it somewhere as I was surprised when I went to look there were loads of kids up there, nobody there to enforce the rule, jacuzzi at the front and the "infinity" pool is the closest pool which is supposed to be YC but not enforced. There is no bar up there either.

Think this was discussed earlier in another thread, from 23 March onwards, it will be by admission fee/pass only, after my cruise in early April, will confirm and report back the per day/week fee.

Yes we would appreciate price/over 18?/amenities/etc.!

Have a good cruise!
