Lyncoya Posted March 25, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2013 We just returned from a 7 day cruise on the Valor last night and had the scenic OV room. Here are a few pictures. We LOVED the room. I slept with the shade open every night (not with the light on, of course) It was heaven waking up to either the Ocean View or the view of the ports each morning. Going to sleep watching the moon and stars was awesome too. I will start a review later tonight. BTW, the cruise was AWESOME. :D
Lyncoya Posted March 25, 2013 Author #2 Share Posted March 25, 2013 St Maarten view Panoramic view with the infamous "C" drawn on the window. I remember reading a review where someone was complaining that the "C" made the view obstructed.

jmcancruise Posted March 25, 2013 #11 Share Posted March 25, 2013 Thankyou so so much for the pictures. DH and I have 9197 booked for September. Would love to see pictures taken from the room of other ports. The only thing I am a little disappointed in in the room is that there is only one comfortable chair. abisha Posted March 25, 2013 #12 Share Posted March 25, 2013 Great forward facing view..must have been wonderful while at sea. How was the motion? Did you feel it more being that far forward? Or no difference?

Yes, the one chair thing was a bummer...but the couch is comfortable. I know, it's not the same. Here are a few more port pics... I "think" this was St Kitts... Celebrity Equinox from our window... Some other ship that I've never heard of...St Kitts The very front of the ship... I think this may be St Lucia....the windows were dirty because it rained a little that day. serene56 Posted March 25, 2013 #17 Share Posted March 25, 2013 The only thing I am a little disappointed in in the room is that there is only one comfortable chair. Most cabins do not even have one chair-- we get the sofa and a a vanity chair. We have 9200 on Glory come August. (I dont know if I would book a regular scenic oceanview over 9200 compared to a balcony.) I really want to try 9200 At night time-- can you see the stars? On past cruises on balconies-- people always seem to leave their lights on. One cruise it was amazing out there- we turned off the light to the cabin, closed the drapes-- and wow. I hope the view at night is like that

INCHARGE Posted March 26, 2013 #23 Share Posted March 26, 2013 Thanks for posting the different awesome view pictures. Question about the temperature. Did it get hot with the sun beaming on that big window? Did it get cold at night because of the same reason? Was there thermostat for heat if needed? Thanks. serene56 Posted March 26, 2013 #24 Share Posted March 26, 2013 there are no hooks on the wall -- the place where they hang the breakfast door hanger, or the snoozin, cruisin sign??
Lyncoya Posted March 26, 2013 Author #25 Share Posted March 26, 2013 Thanks for posting the different awesome view pictures. Question about the temperature. Did it get hot with the sun beaming on that big window? Did it get cold at night because of the same reason? Was there thermostat for heat if needed? Thanks. The room was warm but only because the thermostat is "different" in these cabins and I wasn't so sure how to use them. They're digital! I finally figured out how to use it on about the 3rd day of the cruise. The sun didn't make much of a difference to me though. One more thing....these rooms have flat screen TV's. Our friends who traveled with us had a balcony room on the 6th floor and had those old tube TVs. Not that it matters much, I just thought I would mention it. :)
