Quality Inn Airport in Tampa?

Reviews on Trip Advisor are mostly very good, so thinking of booking. Does anyone have comments? Also, TA report says there is a "Fresh Market" behind hotel for sandwiches, etc. Perhaps some of you might know whether we could buy wine there as well, like Publix.

That Fresh Market location is fairly new. I do not believe however, that they sell wine. There is a Publix grocery store within walking distance. Cross the street in front of the hotel, turn left and walk to the Bank of America. Go through thier parking lot and the Publix will be directly behind it. They sell wine as well as other grocery items.

 

As far as the hotel, I have not stayed there but driven by several times. It is motel style but kept-up nicely. There is a Bone Fish Grill within walking distance. BTW: there is a wine shop directly across from the port of Tampa. It is Tampa Wine Design and is located in the Channelside shops. They open at 11am 7 days per week. I do not believe that they sell pop, only wine.

Thanks. Great info. Think we'll try it! So we could ask the taxi driver to the port to stop at the wine shop if we don't walk to Publix for wine?

No need to ask the driver to stop. Just check your bags with the porters then cross the street to the Channelside shops. It's a 2 minute walk over.
