Breakaway Balcony 3&4 guests

Does anyone know how the standard balcony cabins sleep 4 in a room.

Based on the pics of the cabin we selected, it does not appear that the sofa open up to accommodate 2.

 

Anyone have any insight on this. NCL, does not seem to know anything.

I believe the chair opens to a single bed. In rooms that accommodate 4 a bunk lowers from the ceiling.

I don't know about the Breakaway, but here is a picture of the 4-bed set up in a Jewel class balcony cabin:

I can honestly say when it comes to 3 or 4 to a room that I am glad I don't have small children or "close" friends. I can barely understand 2 people in most of these cabins, 4.... wow.

That is how our cabin was on the Gem too. We are on the Breakaway in June with four in a balcony cabin. I am assuming that the bed will be a single and a bed will come down from the ceiling. We choose a cabin to have the bed by the balcony so we could access it more easily at night when the beds were out.

That's what we are expecting too, although I chose the bump balcony over bed orientation ;)

I can see how some people would think 2 adults and 2 kids is horrible, but it isn't that bad. Our boys are still small (8&5 yrs), but we find this arrangement works just fine for us. The extra space on the balcony is what makes it all possible.
