cruisedisneyfan Posted April 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2013 Hey cruisers! I was wondering if anyone new what movies were currently playing in the Buena Vista Theater on the Fantasy? I sail May 4th and hoping to catch Oz, The Great and Powerful playing onboard. Also hoping Iron Man 3 will be playing since it comes out May 3 in the States. Thanks! bear3412 Posted April 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2013 Two weeks prior to sail call 888-325-2500, go to reservations, then ask for a movie list for you sailing. HTH
Rare Scrapnana Posted April 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2013 New Disney releases are shown on the ship the same day they get to the US movie theaters. We were on the Fantasy when Monsters, Inc 3D came out. They had a special midnight showing and then more showings through the rest of the cruise. Lincoln was still playing on our cruise 6 weeks after it got to the theaters so Oz may still be on.

bear3412 Posted April 4, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2013 You got me. Have I called this # before? No. I don't watch movies onboard ships. But, you got me wondering. Is this movie # that is linked in hundreds of threads/links viable? So I tried the #. Guess what? I just called the phone # listed I posted, pressed 2 for English, pressed another # for reservations, waited 2 minutes and spoke to a human, who I asked what movies were playing on the Dream, 3 night, 4/11/13, and she gave me the list. This # is only functional during operating hours. The hours are something like, 8am - 10pm est. I just called so it is definitely open till 10pm est. These movies were recently on the Fantasy and Dream. I lost track of the list per ship specifically. You can see how important it is to me. :D This list is not current to your sailing. Call the #. This list is the list for this/last week. This list changes weekly. ;) Although, I too would appreciate the movie list prior to boarding, and can understand how the list would be helpful prior to embarkation. Oz Lincoln Wreck it Ralph Frankenwennie Finding Nemo (3D) People like Us Brave Avengers Chimpanzee Muppet's There is another one , but I can't read my writing, and I am clueless about DCL/ABC movies. Outer Tree Meda... ??? HTH someone :)

moki'smommy Posted July 7, 2013 #12 Share Posted July 7, 2013 Do all 4 ships play the same movies through out the cruise? Sort of. Longer cruises tend to have more movies and more showings of them (more days to do it). All the ships will have the same first run films, but they tend to stick around longer on the longer cruises. When we have done 2 week cruises, the second week was a totally different lineup than the first (as in don't decide you'll see something next week--it wasn't there!) And you can't always believe the DCL movie line. It is accurate as to what is currently playing, but they sometimes get wrong what is scheduled to happen. Any time Disney has a new release, it will be released on the ship at the same time.
