Clarification about some two-top tables:

 

Some are genuinely private tables that're set apart from other tables . . . But others are only 4" or so from the next table, meaning that you're sitting just as close to other people as you would at a large table, bur you're technically at a two- person table. Although you can hear their conversation perfectly well, you're expected to behave as if you were sitting far apart.

 

This is one reason I like My Time Dining so much. You might be assigned to one of these ridiculous tables, but it's just for one night.
