We did an airboat through the river nearby and that was fun. We saw many water birds, alligators and cypress trees in the water.

I really enjoyed sailing from PC. We liked dinner at Grills and seeing the ships sail away. And then went to the pier and had drink at the bar on the end of it. Fun night!

That being said, the only reason PC is our favorite port is because of the seamless embarkation and disembarkation. I think FLL and MIA are much prettier and have so much more to do, but we love Port Canaveral because it is so easy and convenient :)!

It's the first time we have sailed out of PC, but I love Merrit Island Wildlife Preserve and would recommend that to anyone who has time before or after the cruise.

 

Also the Kennedy Space Center.
