Saverign of the Seas

I did a search but did not find any recent posts Re: the Saverign of the Seas.

Has any one been on her this year?

What condition is the ship in after the dry dock?

Are the interior rooms comfortable?

Any other info would be appreciated.

I have not cruised R/C/I and thouoght the 3 day out of Port Canaveral would give me a good idea what Royal Caribbean is like. Any comments?

Search on 'sovereign', not 'Saverign' and you will find a lot of information.

There have been quite a few recent posts about this. I think the search problem may be in the spelling. Its Sovereign of the Seas (no "a"). So if you do a search on Sovereign, you'll get a ton of info.

I've been on twice recently. Once in March and once in May. She looks good and the crew was wonderful!

I was on the Sovereign last month and will be going again in a few weeks. She looks great. She has now taken the Carnival Fantasy's place as my favorite ship for quick get aways.

One other thing to keep in mind. A three day cruise on an older RCI ship should not be used to try and feel out the line and the same thing would be true with Carnival. The new larger ships have so much more to offer.

Went on her in February '05 after the upgrade - like a new ship in all the public areas. I have sailed her in both a Junior Suite balcony (wonderful) and an inside cabin (sardine class).

 

Inside cabins are very small, but the ship and staff is otherwise wonderful.

I think you've answered my question, but, to be safe....do all of the Junior Suite cabins have balconies? My daughter's getting married on the Sovereign and would like to surprise her with a nicer cabin.

Yes all of the JS which are located on deck ten received balonies during the refurb.

Thanks for all the replies. I booked a 3 day for Sept. The price was just to good to pass up. I know the newer ships have more to offer but this will be a short test cruise. Can't wait.
