I have the mailing address for the pier in Port Everglade.

Ft. Lauderdale

 

There are hotels nearby, but, not within walking distance. Many offer shuttles.

I think we stayed at the Rennaissance last time.

Usually you are allowed to board after 11am.

I believe if you book the hotels with Princess that they use the Renaissance on 17th.

Your cruise docs will tell you what time to start the boarding process. As said, usually people start showing up about 11-1130am. Nobody seems to pay any attention if your docs say 130pm or 230pm, the world seems to show up at the same time.

It's nice to get onboard, meet your stateroom attendant and then get a bite to eat. That allows you time to explore and get to know where things are onboard before lifeboat drill and sailaway.

You CAN walk from the Renaissance. It's the equivalent of 3/4 blocks. I just did that May 1st. I did however, do it w/o luggage. Just my friend and myself. We had dropped our spouses off with the suitcases first.
