musicorn Posted April 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2013 Last time we were in Seattle I think we may have been taken for a ride in more ways than one. We went from Pier 66 to the Bus Terminal and the Taxi Driver charged us the fare, a baggage fee and a wheelchair fee. Is this usual? We are returning and I do not want to pay a fortune again. mapleleaves Posted April 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2013 From the airport a town car is a good option. They have a flat rate and pick you up at the door outside baggage claim. http://www.portseattle.org/Sea-Tac/Parking-and-Transportation/Ground-Transportation/Pages/Taxis-and-Limos.aspx If your ride is from the pier to the bus stop, use Yellow Cab's contact info above and ask for the price. Also try flatrateforhire.com who tend to be cheaper.
Dan G Posted April 15, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2013 taxis are regulated by the city and state and there is no 'baggage' fee. Yes you were taken. Look at flatrateforhire.com they give you a flat charge regardless of time and they have 400 cars/.
