kybluecruiser Posted April 16, 2013 #27 Share Posted April 16, 2013 I have to say that I love cruising carnival and love their product. The Qauntum of the Seas does look attractive. Some things on it look Weird but overall it looks amazing. I hope carnival will take a new approach like this with their new build or future "sunshined" ships. Ciardasully Posted April 16, 2013 #28 Share Posted April 16, 2013 I have been happy with Carnival so far but as someone who lives in New York, I am glad that there are more options without having to fly.
Jimmy Geegitz Posted April 17, 2013 #29 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Can't wait to get on those bumper cars. There is absolutely no place to ride those.
Jimmy Geegitz Posted April 17, 2013 #30 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Can you play basketball while the bumper cars are running?? That would be fun. it's bumper cars...no it's a basketball court.
Gilgo Surfer Posted April 17, 2013 #31 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Yes, but saying New York City sounds much better than saying Bayonne, New Jersey. ;) Cunard and Princess have also moved their operation down to the Red Hook pier in Brooklyn. FYI, Carnival still uses the more traditional Manhattan cruise terminal. Saying NY rather then NJ may sound nicer but sailing out of Manhattan is a much nicer view then out of Bayonne. That being said, I would rather fly south then embark out of either of these ports.
maggieworkman Posted April 17, 2013 #32 Share Posted April 17, 2013 We are sailing out of New York this summer on the Splendor. If it goes well (driving from Chicago), then maybe next time we will try the Breakaway. Then the Quantum! Maggie
YankeeFan4Ever Posted April 17, 2013 #33 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Even with a newer ship, they will still be doing the same ole boring itinerarys Not too sure about that... As per the Royal Caribbean website, The Quantum of the seas will be doing the following itineraries: 7 or 8 night cruises with stops in Port Canaveral, Royal Caribbean's private island of CocoCay and Nassau. 11 night eastern Caribbean cruises with stops in Labadee, San Juan, St-Thomas, St-Maarten and St-Kitts. 12 night Caribbean cruises with stops in Labadee, San Juan, St-Maarten, St-Kitts, Martinique and Barbados.
