Generally you get off the boat, walk through customs and meet your excursion party. For example, on the Dawn in Bermuda wife and I did the Helmet Dive. We where told to meet at a certain location outside the boat, there was a sign, we met with the party and where on our way. It was fun.

Have a blast! Dont worry too much.

The time that you will be permitted to get off the ship in a port will vary by port and their customs persons. However, it is usually very soon after docking. It is seldom more than 30 minutes after. Keep in mind that there will be an initial crowd and line pushing and shoving to get off the ship as quickly as possible. The tour companies are well aware of how long it takes you to get off and plan accordingly. And if it's and NCL tour, they will be there waiting for you. Also, for many of NCL tours, the guests will be given a place and time to meet on the ship and then be escorted off as a group. It all goes pretty smooth and faster than you would expect.

Very often with NCL tours, your ticket (which will be delivered to you on board in your cabin) will have a meeting place and time - usually in the Theater at a certain time. When you arrive, you will wait with everyone until they call up your excursion, and direct you where to go. Very easy as long as you show up on time.

Totally agree!! On our Epic trip, we did 3 NCL excursions. Each time the organisation was very efficient, very cheerful.......and very fast!!

Enjoy your trip! :)
