WayTooCool Posted April 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2013 We're going on our first b2b next Monday. Have figured out gratuities, but am a little unclear as to how much to tip porter when you drive up to drop off checked luggage, another couple is going with us so there will be four bags. Suggestions??? Don't want to shortchange anybody!
firefly333 Posted April 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2013 $1 a bag is standard room service $1 and up, depending on the size of the order shuttle drivers also expect $1 a bag (but if I am alone in say a airport shuttle I tip more) etc.
MrPete Posted April 18, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2013 Tipping the porter should only be done if you "hire" him to move your bags. Somewhere over the years, people have started tipping them just to take your bags. Others have stated they do this out of fear that their bags don't end up in the water. Anyway, whether you hire them to take your bags into the terminal or out, a buck a bag is good.
