careycouponer Posted April 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2013 I know what cabin I'm in for our February cruise and it's a Category 4D. When I pull up the fare viewer link, how can I be sure I'm comparing appropriate cabins? I don't want to go for a price decrease only to be disappointed because I'm not a match! Thanks! VAGentleman05 Posted April 27, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2013 I'm sure there's an easier/more accurate way, but I've always just clicked all the way through to book a nearby room in the same category (e.g. if a similar stateroom three doors down is now cheaper, then I submit the form). firefly333 Posted April 27, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2013 You should only be checking fares where you can select your cabin .. and can see the 4D prices. If you cant find a 4D price with that fare, or the box isnt check to select your own cabin, you know its not a match.
careycouponer Posted April 27, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted April 27, 2013 Thanks so much! I'll go through Carnival.com rather than use the fare viewer. Makes perfect sense.
Eeyoregon Posted April 27, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2013 I use this link http://www.carnival.com/BookingEngine/FareViewer/# to check my rates daily. It will show the specific categories so that you can compare apples to apples. Just remember that the price you are comparing is the base cruise rate without fees/taxes.
