Alaska Land Portion - how does it work?

Hi all: we are nearing our time for our first cruise tour in Alaska prior to saiiling Whittier to Vancouver on Sapphire.

 

Question on the land portion - do we just get written instructions on what to do and when to be at the bus daily - or is there a Princess rep that goes along with us on the bus? We didnt purchase the fully escorted tour so was just wondering how much Princess will be watching over us during this first week?

Starting at the airport or cruse terminal (depending on pre or post cruise), you will get a packet for each stop that has your keys and instructions (tours etc). We got our first packet for fairbanks at a kiosk in the airport when we dropped of our luggage (you drop off all your luggage there, don't worry about 'to the ship/airport' until your first overnight). That had all our fairbanks plans, then we got the next packet on the train to Denali, and same to McKinley, then we got our cruise ship keys on the train to Whittier.

 

We did all train so I can't speak if there is a Princess rep on every bus.
