DrSeuss Posted May 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2013 Has anyone been here? Is it walkable from the port? Is it worth the cost:confused:
Isa65 Posted May 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2013 L'Aldea is VERY VERY far from the port. You would need to take a cab (about 20 minute drive). It's a Maya temple look-alike with an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Should you be cruising to Belize or Mexico, I would save the money for the real ruins. If you're looking for something to do with kids, it might be a fun idea (they have lots of animals and the food is good).

Isa65 Posted May 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2013 No, the restaurant opens at 5 pm. The Mystic Forrest area opens in the morning: http://www.laldeacur.com/tour.html Maybe you can combine the visit with the Ostrich Farm. Cool for kids as well and not far from L'Aldea. Isa65 Posted May 11, 2013 #6 Share Posted May 11, 2013 Taxis are all lined up at the piet when your ship arrives. There will be PLENTY of taxis. The only thing I don't know is, how much the fare will be to L'Aldea. You could email Natasja at Dushi Taxi and ask her - natasjagibbs@hotmail.com
