Handicapped parking charleston

Having some trouble finding the answer to this question on here so maybe someone who has actually done it can help me out. At the charleston port I know handicapped parking is free but where do you park? Do you still have to take the shuttle or is it close enough you don't have to ride the shuttle. Just worried about getting my aunt on and off the shuttle. Thanks for any help!

You still have to take the shuttle to the ship. We cruised out of Charleston last December and although handicapped parking is a little more convenient, everyone takes the shuttle. There will be people there to assist you if needed though, they were very helpful with my DW.

You park in the same warehouse that everyone else parks in just up front. You still have to ride the shuttle to the ship. There is no parking close to the boat have to ride in the shuttle down a long cement road slab to get to ship.

Unfortunately, there are not very many spaces in Handicapped Parking ....

I used it last April with my mother. The buses are handicap accessible. One good thing about the handicap parking it doesn't take long before you are at the pier then on lido deck eating. 10 minutes max.
