Cruise Cash Bar question.

I have some questions concerning the cruise cash bar. Do all CCL ships have this? The website says it provides an immediate credit to your SS card so when is this amount taken from your account if you are using a debit card? Also, and lastly, what advantages are there to doing the CCB? Thanks.

I dont even know what a cruise cash bar is?? Could you explain? Which ship is this on that you are reading about?

Is this a term for adding cash at a kiosk? Im confused how it could provide a credit immediately to your S&S account unless you are putting cash onto your account.

There are no advantages to Cruise Cash Bar. It's simply a way to have a credit on your folio to cover your drinks. You will have more flexibility if you just buy (or others buy for you) cruise cash, then you can use it for whatever you want.

Firefly - this is Carnival's new version of the "drink coupon" except that instead of buying a certain number of coupons, you (or a generous friend) buys a certain amount of credit - without the gratuity included.

I guess it was the word Bar throwing me off .. like there was a bar onboard that took cash.

I was thinking bar as in a place that serves drinks.

ok thanks for the explanation.

also-non refundable.

(something like funship dollars.

BUT this is just for drinks onboard-- every time you buy a drink it comes from the bar cash-- you still have to use your sign and sail card

its a way to pre pay the bar bill

Boy- You want to be careful using your debit card. Call the bank about 2 weeks before you sail to lift any restrictions you have on that card.

they put a hold on debit cards that could take a while to lift--when you gt home your card might not be able to be used.

Yeah, I am going to talk to my bank before we leave so hopefully it wont be an issue with my card. Pre-paying it like gratuities just makes it a little easier and if you treat it like a dollar limit at a casino then when you reach that limit you are done drinking for the rest of the cruise. Theoretically anyway. Hahaha.......
