margaritaman Posted May 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Hello all, going to start my review of our April cruise on the Pride. This was my third time on the Pride, but the first for the Port Canaveral, Nassau, Freeport itinerary. The last 2 cruises have been the Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Freeport Itinerary. This was also the first cruise with my kids, DD 23, DD 21, DS 20. and DS 17. My DW is 48 and I am 47. Like I said this was our third cruise on the Pride, all within the last 2 years. Pics and review to follow.

margaritaman Posted May 13, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted May 13, 2013 After a uneventful drive, with good weather, we arrived in Baltimore around 5pm.We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at the stadiums. Booked it thru stay123.com and it was $139.00 for the night, including keeping the vehicle there for the week. The room was adequate, and the breakfast the next morning was good. We arranged for a shuttle to the port for 11 a.m the next morning. We have friends that live in Baltimore and in D.C that we met on the last cruise. They showed up at the hotel and we went out to dinner with them. That was awesome.
margaritaman Posted May 13, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted May 13, 2013 we awoke about 7 a.m and since there were six of us we took turns getting ready in the bathroom. We had breaky down stairs, just some cereal, toast, and pancakes, And waitied for our turn on the shuttle. Getting pretty excited by now. It was sunny but a bit on the cool side. on our way
margaritaman Posted May 13, 2013 Author #10 Share Posted May 13, 2013 We arrived at the port of Baltmore in about 10 mins. It was so great to see our ship again. The kids were pumped about the size of the ship. We all went thru security, and the only problem i had was with a stuffed little bear in my suitcase that had mini handcuffs on it. I am in Law enforcement, and this little bear has our uniform on it, with handcuffs, and I wanted pics of it in the different ports. Anyway they pulled it out of my luggage, and made me take the mini handcuffs off it. I was like "wow really"? They allow knives on planes now, and I cant get my little bear on the ship without taking the handcuffs that arent even big enough to go around your finger? So I ripped them off as they were sewn on and gave it to them and we were good to go. Before boarding I had 1100.00 in on board credit due to price drops, and buying 300 in cruise cash. More about this later. We got our sign and sail cards, and my one son has the same name as me, only we call him Kevin Jr. You can see where this is going. After fixing up the sign and sail card dillema we sat and waited for about half an hour then headed on board.

margaritaman Posted May 13, 2013 Author #14 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Tt tHE KIDS mOMMA, AND KIDS. So we explored and showed the kids the ship. We had lunch, they had fruit and salad, and me and the boys had burgers. As I do every cruise, I like to sit in the atrium bar beforedinnerhave some wine, and listen to the music. Jerry was the guitar player and singer and he was so excellent all week. We had late dining, so after a quick Karaoke with a live band, we went to dinner. margaritaman Posted May 13, 2013 Author #20 Share Posted May 13, 2013 After dinner we roamed a bit, then went to the welcome aboard show.Kirk the CD was excellent as always and we enjoyed the show. The it was off to one of my favorite bars on the ship, and that is the Piano bar. Roger was on the piano and he was great, funny, and entertaining all week. I stayed until close this night. margaritaman Posted May 13, 2013 Author #21 Share Posted May 13, 2013 We woke up Monday morning to gloomy skies and rough seas. I could feel the boat rolling before I even got out of bed. It was12ft swells. We spent most of the day in the ship, doing shopping, and eating and in the casino. trying to win ship on a stick at Trivia. TUES Morning we woke up to calmer seas, grey skies, but it wasnt long before the sun came out and it was a beautiful day. DID I MENTION I WON 1000 DOLLARS ON THE TOWER OF CASH GAME IN THE CASINO THIS DAY? I was pretty excted.
