Horseback riding on beach?

I've ridden with Pampered Ponies and Nikki's - both times got to gallop on the beach and ride out into the water. I've never ridden with them, but Honey Suckle Beach Rides gets good marks on this board too.

I've ridden with Nikki's and Honey Suckle and can highly recommend Honey Suckle over Nikkis. I know Pampered Ponies does similar rides as Honey Suckle but Nikki's can't go in the water (her horses lie down) and she dosen't do a full beach ride. I know this first hand, was not impressed with her horses and attitude. As far as galloping I am an experienced rider and Honey Suckle let me gallop a good distance on the beach where as Nikki it was just a short gallop. Honey Suckle's horses are nice well taken care horses, where as NIkki's are small thin horses. From what I had seen on the trail (they all use the beach) Pampered Ponies had nice horses also. Penny and Sterling were great had alot of patience with everyone, where as Nikki would actually talk very harshly with the tourists.

HOpe you have a great time on your cruise.

Worldcruiser-that is too funny! My horse did lie down on Nikki's ride. I forgot about that! So I take back what I said. Pampered's 'ponies' were better horses.

We did horseback riding two years ago, I didnt like it at all. We were on the horses for about 5 minutes and I was ready to get off. We are going again to the Caymans in September, so I am going to do the stingrays.

We booked our horseback riding through Honey Suckle and we loved it. Our guide was very nice. The ride was very relaxing. He took us approx. 3 miles along the edge of the water. Our group consisted of my husband and I, my 10 & 15 year old and three other teenagers traveling with our cruise group. In addition to horseback riding we along received a mini tour of the island during our drive to and from the meeting area and some very interesting information. I highly recommend this tour for the price and quality of the experience. PS: Don't forget ship time and island time are different and if you book this on your own, which I highly recommend to save a few bucks (go to grandcaymanshoreexcursion.com) you have to make sure you are going by island time, not ship time!!!!

Honeysuckle changed hands this summer. We went during the change and there was a lot of confusion getting started. We were not able to gallop, trot or even move any more than a very slow pace. We did not go into the water with the horses. Penny and Sterling did our tour but it was their last tour. I haven't heard much about how it is since the new owner took over.
