Clothes Steamer

I know irons aren't allowed on board but are clothes steamers or do they fall in the same category?

We were able to use this on Freedom of the Seas in 2011. We just packed it into the check in bag.

On my most recent cruise I was called to the naughty room for it, but once they confirmed it was a clothes steamer and not an iron, they returned it.

We bring a steamer on every cruise just don't buy one that looks similar to a iron.

I brought a hand steamer that looks like a tea pot. After using it for about 5 minutes it blew the circuit breaker for the whole room we lost power and A/C in our cabin the maintainence man had to reset the breaker out side our room. Last time I brought that with me on a cruise.

We just had this same thing happen to us on the Brilliance! Once they saw it did not have a hot plate they sent us on our way. I love not having wrinkled clothes or having to send them out!

We have one that looks similar to the one eggnoodle posted above...but a little flatter. We've taken it on multiple lines without any issues.

usually take a little travel steamer. never had any problems:)

I have a my little steamer from Joy Magano...that I bought from HSN...do you think they will allow that on board...
