tipping --have not been on a hal ship since march 2004

and at that time the auto tipping was being put in place but not on the ship we sailed so we tipped the customary way at the time----cash tips handed directly to the person you wanted to tip--------------question

 

can you remove the auto tip and continue to tip the old way and if you can will the person who you give it to keep it all or must he/she turn it in for crew sharing

 

if you cant remove the auto tip and wish to tip extra in cash direct can that person keep all of the extra tip without turning it in

 

if im missing another option please advise
