FiremansBobsWife,,,, I am a bit confused. We have 2470 on the Glory in Sept. You answered some of my questions when you did your review. I may be reading one of your posts above but I thought you said 2470 doesn't have a sofa,,,,but just 2 chairs. Your pic of 2470 seems to show part of the sofa. We would not have booked this room if no sofa. NOT ME. Husband likes to sit and relax on it when he closes the casino nightly. He has a bad back and for some reason the chairs bother it.

2470 does have a sofa. It is 2462 as well as 2475 that don't. I'm not sure about 2482 and 2474 (and their "twins" on the opposite side of the ship).

We love 2470 and 2473 so much that us and our friends that sail with us have booked those cabins on our last three cruises. The vibrations are not an issue for us and we love the two windows along with the extra space.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just got back from Canada week, look at pictures posted see two sq. windows on corner? First one goes with 2474' but what you should be looking at is what underneath the floor. Lots of very loud engines, aee the lights and openings where deck 1 would be, all of that is engines. And they vibrate so much you can hardly talk, someone put cardboard in the ceiling to try and stop the vibrations. Do not book this room unless you want to sleep in a chair upstairs. It doesn't happen every night, but how many nights do you want no sleep. Trust me, it is very loud and the vibrations shake the entire room. No couch, one small window.

All those windows on deck two are square port holes, recessed. The size is not worth the noise and vibrations, I wish I could describe how loud it is and lasted all night.

I'll be willing to bet my mother snores louder than the engines. :P

I'm not sure how the noise levels 2470 compares to the 2474 version. I hope you had a good time in Canada, that's me in a few weeks!

Do you have any pictures of the inside of the room? We loved 2470 and 2473. Sorry to hear that 2474 is unbearable.

All the windows on deck 2 are not square "portholes", they are picture windows. Yes, you can kind of sit on the inside ledge, but I'm thinking that yours was on an angle so it must have been extremely hard to look out of. That's not the case with the rooms on the sides of the ship.
