Question for South Beachers!

I am a carboholic, but luckily only have about 7 pounds to lose. I decided to try the South Beach diet. Started Phase 1 3 days ago. I am not having any problem with cravings, but I do feel a little shaky and weak sometimes, especially after exercising. Will that go away during Phase 1?

My SIL had that same problem when she started phase one. It went away about day 5 and she never had it again.

Can someone quickly explain the basics of the South Beach Diet or recommend a good book for me to learn about it?

Would a vegetarian be able to succeed on this diet?

Go to http://www.prevention.com and do a search for South Beach Diet. A wealth of information will pop up. There is also a message board for South Beach dieters on prevention.com also. I believe there is a thread on their specifically for vegetarians. Good luck!

I found the Prevention website and found out that the weakness is common in Phase 1. I'm trying to drink plenty of water and am doing better than I was the first couple of days . Thanks, everyone!

I think I will give it a try. Lemon water and exercise the first day to get pure. Right?
