blazerjan Posted June 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2013 We will be on Antigua this December and have a morning excursion planned thru the ship. We will have the afternoon free and I was wondering is there any shopping near where the ship is docked? If not, are there Taxi's available? If DH decides he doesn't want to shop will I be safe by myself?? Thanks in advance...
DougYWG Posted June 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2013 No problem, you will be perfectly safe on your own. There is the usual collection of tourist shops right by the ship: emeralds, watches, booze, T-shirts, local knick-knacks. Is this what you want? Other than that, I can't imagine any other shopping for you in St. John's. Lots of taxis available at all times. No shopping on the island outside St. John's. IMHO, Antigua is not a shopping destination compared to other cruise ship stops. Did you want to take a taxi and go somewhere nice for a leisurely lunch?
