Rooms across back of ships

Has anyone stayed in a room across the back of a ship? I'm cruising on the Carnival Triumph and the only rooms available are across the back of the ship and I guess there are pros & cons. Any thoughts about these rooms regardless of the cruiseline?

Thanks!

I have sailed the aft on a few of my crusies. I cant imagine thats all that is available because they are usulaly the first to go- the balconies are very much bigger then a side cabin. Its a further walk to the elevators but the hallways are very quiet. Its warm on the balcony and you wont feel ocean breezes..but the view is awesome. Take it..you wont be sorry

I have never felt motion on the aft of any cruise I sailed there.

But I have had good seas. Now when we sailed the Legend--we had an oceanview on the Riveria--1211-- located center ship.. we hit really bad weather and it was terrible rocking motion. So you see- if you hit bad weather you will feel that motion anywhere.

Personally- the afts baclonies are bigger so you will be getting more for your money- Since youhave nothing ot compare it to... take it. (you wont be sorry.

where are you sailing?

We always stay in the penthouse on Celebrity, and those are at the very back of the ship. And YES, you really can feel a lot of motion. It was so bad on our last cruise that the doors and drawers were slamming open and shut all day and night.

I don't have pics but I am going with a wraparound on the Miracle in january, 2nd wrap around for me...they are awesome....you pay more but it really is worth it...having your door open at night and listening to the ocean ...sigh...no fighting for loungers, relax in peace while just looking out at the wake at the back of the ship...even an outside shower...not everyone is aware of that either!!! wonderful!

You will adore it!

I have photos on the wrap aroun don the Miracle-- deck 6. The cabin is awesome and it has seperate areas for the bedroom and sitting room. IF I was to do a suite= thats the way to do it. I dont think I would pay the extra money for a regular suite.

In July, you may never get to use it, no cover, too hot and the people on the Lido throw food and cigarettes over board that lands on your balcony. I won't take an aft balcony again.
We had aft 6264 on the Miracle, Empress deck and had NO problem with anything you mentioned... a little 'warm' at times, but isn't that why we cruise?? :p Must have been a rowdy bunch on your ship....

We are booked for March 13, 2006. Has anyone stayed in cabin 8080? What is next to the cabin. Someone told me it is not a wrap around balcony. Does anyone have pics? Thanks for your time.
