janjay Posted June 23, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2005 Does anyone know if it is possible to take a "one-way" cruise from LA to Cabo? My sister has a home in Cabo and we wanted to "cruise" down and stay with her a week. Is this possible? I have never seen it on a disscusion. taffy12 Posted June 23, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2005 There aren't any one-way cruises down there, at least not that I'm aware of, but perhaps you could make special arrangements to disembark the ship early? I'm not sure if that's possible or not, but it's worth a shot :) . Check out the calendar on this site to see which ships sail between Cabo and LA. I think this link will take you to the calendar for ships docked in Cabo, and you can click on the ship's name to see its full itinerary. http://www.cruisecal.com/dnn/Default.aspx?tabid=
Bruin Steve Posted June 23, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 23, 2005 Nobody does a one-way LA to Cabo cruise...and it seems a waste to pay for a full cruise and lose a couple of days to leave the ship early when you can often get a cheap flight LA to Cabo (you need the return ticket anyway, right?)... I'd consider doing the cruise then flying back down to Cabo for some extra time... Another option is to go with a SMALL boat cruise... Cruise West does a Cabo round trip: http://www.cruisewest.com/cortes/tour_itinerary.aspx?tourid=51 Not exactly the same experience as a big ship/major cruise line...
