Help me convince the hubby!

We will be sailing on the Conquest 9-22-13. We are currently in an oceanview room for the 4 of us(myself, my husband and our 2 girls, 9 &7). With carnival's sale they have running right now, we can upgrade for $250 total to a balcony. I think its totally worth it. The hubs on the other hand, isn't so sure. I know this is purely an "opinion" question. Just trying to get some in-put from non-partial parties. lol. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I wouldn't cruise without a balcony. With 4 of you I think it will be worth it. While one of you is showering the others can hang out on the balcony, ... instead of being trapped in the cabin ... waiting.

Oceanview on conquest means you are on deck 2, right? $250 is totally worth it for a balcony and to be on a higher deck!

haha. I said both of those things! I think he's starting to sway. We had a balcony on our first cruise, but there was only 2 of us. I think it's almost a necessity with it being 4 of us this time. Thanks for your replys!

The kids would love a balcony, it would keep them busy for hours, just watching the sea go by... Never cruise without one!!!:D

Knowing that you've had a balcony on a past cruise, I'm surprised he would even think of passing up the upgrade. There's an old saying..."Once you go balcony, you never go back." (or something like that :D)

Ill be traveling in an OV with my toddler, and like OVs. But really wish an upgrade to a balcony was only $250. For the two of us its over $500. In your case an upgrade would totally be worth it, especially traveling with kids. Im sure your girls still go to bed relatively early, and still having the ability to go outside and enjoy the fresh air is worth it. Just tell him, Imagine the kids are asleep, we can go out on our balcony and still enjoy a glass of wine, each others company, and the sounds of the sea and fresh sea breeze :)

how could you pass that up?? i love balconies and it is just me and my hubs. send the kiddos to camp carnival and if you two want some quiet time to sit out on the deck instead of having to fight chair hogs.. just sayin.

I can't cruise without a balcony... for me, yes it's true, once you go balcony, you can't go back. I don't even look at fares for inside or OV - it's balcony or nothing.

 

Totally worth it IMO. Enjoy your cruise either way!
