Garntee Time Frame

I know it can take all the way till sailing to get your assigned cabin on a garntee , BUt was wondering if you have to have your credit card on file for your ship and sail before they will assign?? That is the last we have to do and sail !st of Sept. Anyone know or have and idea?

I just finally completed my credit card and passport info for our June 29 cruise last week and we still don't have a cabin assignment. We leave in 11 days! I'm just trying to be patient and know they will put me somewhere, lol!

You can get a cabin assignment without putting in your credit card info in the online checkin

I haven't put in my credit card yet for a cruise at the end of November and got a cabin assigned last week (or maybe earlier, hadn't checked in a few weeks) We booked guarantee. Got a two category upgrade within the same cabin type, so better location. Interestingly, the cabin we were assigned is the same on I had three years ago. I was surprised that the cabin was assigned so early and also that Princess seems to keep track of which cabin you've sailed in and assigns you to the same one if possible.
