Dean Posted June 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2013 I understand that if you reserve a diamond bungalow as opposed to a sapphire bungalow, you will have to walk around 1/2 mile back to the lodge. Is this right and could this be one reason not to have the more expensive bungalow ?
Tikiintahiti Posted June 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2013 Remember there are 3 categories of "diamond" The Sapphire are mixed in with the other 2 categories of diamand The top of the diamond category is "Diamond End of Pontoon" The difference between all of them isn't more than 200 - 400 feet as far as walking distance to the reception. http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/zero350/resort%20maps/ThalassoMap.jpg
kathy16 Posted June 19, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2013 We were in 229 at the IC Bora Bora Thalasso Spa, and it WAS a long walk to the pool, restaurants and bars from the OWB, especially in the hot sun, and when done several times a day. . I sometimes looked longingly at the "golf cart" transportation that the staff used to get around when they passed by me. But- I loved my OWB. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to swim around the OWB, because of "swells" that made it dangerous.
Dean Posted June 19, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted June 19, 2013 I understand that bikes are available to use at the hotel. Are we allowed to use them for transportation to and from the OWBs
