There is usually a form that you can fill out at the oh forgot the official name so I am going to call it customer service desk. Just fill it out slip in mail box and your account will be credited.

If there's anyone here who might be interested in buying an NCL Future Cruise Rewards Certificate, I have one I'm interested in selling ($125?). I have no idea how to sell something on eBay, so that's out, but we can still use Paypal for the protection of us both.

I would wait until on the ship because you get $100 OBC instantly back. Nice perk!! :D

 

 

I just bought one on Ebay for $100.00. That was a great price! Most go for about $125.00.

 

I was surprised to see that some are listed at a Buy It Now price of $199.00 or $200.00.

 

I would never pay that because if I purchase it on the ship it costs me $250.00 and I get an instant $100.00 OBC....yet still can use the cruise reward for the full $250.00, therefore making $100.00 on the deal.

When someone sells it for $200.00 they are making money since they paid $250.00 and got a $100.00 OBC - making them a $50.00 profit.

 

To me, if they're selling it they can't use it so any money they make on it is more than they would have if they didn't use it. I won't pay for them to make a profit! LOL

 

Again, just my thoughts on it.

I have to disagree with this. Why should the buyer be the only one making a buck there? I've bought one from eBay for $199 and consider that a fair price as the profit is split between both parties (and the seller even has to pay the fees, further decreasing their profit).

 

I currently have three quite fresh FCRs on my account and will have no problem using all those before they expire in early 2017 but there might be other reasons for selling like getting the tied money back if needed etc - the economy anywhere is not so solid that one could predict everything to couple of years away.

N.C.L. have been doing this since before i started cruising in 2008. bought my first one on that cruise. back then they only lasted for 2 years.

I purchased my first one on my last cruise and plan on buying T least two more on my January cruise. The draw back is that they only count as $250 on deposits for the Haven (which is still a $50 savings), but would love for them to create one for those that would like to book a Haven Suite. Also, it would be nice if the offer upgrades or something more for suite guess when they are offering other staterooms upgrades.

 

Please explain why you think Freestyle Cruise Rewards are worth more or less for the haven? They are worth $250 towards the deposit of any cabin/suite. (a $100 savings due to the OBC you already used to pay for it) The only difference is that it counts as the full deposit for all but the SC and "S plus a number" suites. Those you must make up the difference with another form of payment since they are the high end suites and demand a higher than normal deposit.

When does it expire?

 

It expires 10/24/13. However, I've emailed cruiserewards@ncl.com and have been told that the $250 deposit can be applied towards any cruise currently available thru 2015. Furthermore, if/when that $250 deposit is applied, as long as it isn't cancelled, and the change is made outside of the 75 day cancel policy, it can be moved/applied to a different ship/cruise date.
