Wonder Oct 9-12 - questions

We'll be on the Wonder 4-night cruise after 3 night at WDW (me, DH, DS4, + Grandma - DG?). Previous cruisers (HAL, Carnival, RCCL, Celebrity :) ), but first time with a child. DH is very worried about dropping off the boy at Oceaneer's Club. Any encouragement would be appreciated!!! Any wisdom from first-timers with toddlers? Mine is skittish around new people and crowds - cause for worry here?

 

Also, any advice from those doing the land-sea combo? We are trying not to kill ourselves trying to do everything, and DS4 would be most interested in Magic Kingdom (I think - ?). Remember reading a tip a while back about seeing Animal Kingdom on the last day because you can have luggage taken there for the transfer to Port C. Does that still hold?
