ShipShop Posted June 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Hello! Hubby and I are getting ready to board the Wind next week and we are wondering approximately how many outlets are in a Veranda cabin so we can pack enough power converters (to US). Thanks so much for your help and wisdom!
CanadianKate Posted June 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Not enough! IIRC: there is one each of US and European at the desk and one each at the dressing table. We bring a 3-way splitter for the US and a power bar for the European (all our items are dual voltage so we can plug into either.) There is nothing by the bedside so if you are planning to use a smart phone as a clock, that won't work.
farbster Posted June 24, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2013 bring power strip. they are like AMEX, don't leave home without it.
crystallake Posted June 24, 2013 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Are you going to be on sailing that leaves from Barcelona on Jully 1? We will be on that sailing with our daughter and son-in-law. If so, you should register for meet n mingle.

[/quote'] Agree strongly on BOTH above comments. You always need more with the many items we bring, including camera chargers, laptop, iPods, razor re-changing, etc., etc. I take a short, three-prong extension cord with three plugs on the end. Helps with having added plugs and giving flexibility for where to "power up". THANKS! Enjoy! dbbsteve Posted June 25, 2013 #6 Share Posted June 25, 2013 I took these photos on the Silver Wind last month in a Verandah cabin. On the main desk you have a horizontal arrangement of four power outlets, two American, and two European. On the smaller vanity desk there are two additional outlets (One American, one European) arranged vertically. However they are occupied by the power adapter of a small desk clock, which you may unplug. We find these were adequate for our needs. A small adapter would help. bohaiboy Posted April 13, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 13, 2014 DO the outlets take a three prong plug or just the standard two prong?
duct tape Posted April 13, 2014 #9 Share Posted April 13, 2014 The European outlets have 3 spaces.
bohaiboy Posted April 14, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 14, 2014 My question actually is do the US style outlets have three prongs as my power strip plug is three prong.
