Weather in the Bahamas in October?

Hello, my boyfriend just got out of the Army and I'm about to get out of the Navy and we are looking at the Carnival Cruise out of Baltimore on the Carnival Pride October 13th to celebrate our freedom! I'm just curious how the weather will be in October, we stop in Nassau and Freeport, as well as Port Canaveral. I have read a few people say not to book any water excursions in winter. Is October considered winter in the Bahamas? Any advice on these water excursions would be great!

The weather is variable but most days in OCT will be hot and sunny. One caveat, OCT is prime hurricane season. Thanks for your service, I would wait till NOV to celebrate.

It's definitely not winter. It is peak hurricane season but that doesn't mean there will be a hurricane or that it will be heading to the Bahamas. Go and enjoy!

Dont worry about the weather, have a great celebration. The Captain will steer clear of the nasty weather should it be needed. :)

Last year during hurricane Sandy, Exployer of the Seas, CCL Miracle and Ncl Jewel all went through the storm in 30' seas. :eek:
