cabetubing with kids

Any kids done cavetubing? I'm wondering if my daughters will be bored? ages 7 and 13

Kids definitely do it. I don't see how they could be bored, except that it is a good distance from port. I enjoy seeing the local scenery, but most kids don't get much out of sightseeing from a bus.

 

The walk to the river and actual tubing should be fun for them, though.

We did it with our boys when they were younger than your daughters. Agreed with the PP...the van ride is a bit long, but the walk and cave tubing itself are fun.

My husband and I did it last year and are taking our kids in January. They are all very excited about it. Ages are 6,8,10,12,16,17,19,21. I wouldn't hesitate to take a preschooler and have them in someones lap.

My only recommendation is to search the port of calls board to find one of the companies that carries the tubes for you. I would not want a 7 year old doing that walk and trying to carry a tube. Some of the private excursion companies also have tubes that have the netting in the bottom and a headrest. Would be much easier for a kid to ride in.

I agree on mesh bottoms. We used VIV and they have the tubes with the mesh. We plan to use them again. They do carry tubes now as well. I think most of my kids would enjoy carrying their own though.
