Bermuda and Hurricane Season

Recommended Posts

DH and I are booked for VOS the end of August. Just wondering what would happen with the criuse if there was a threat of a hurricane. Since Bermuda is the only Port of Call I was wondering how that would work. I've heard that on other cruises with multiple ports of call they go around the hurricane to other ports but we only have one.

Just be aware that September is the most active month for hurricanes. That being said my cousin was booked on his very first cruise, Boston to Bermuda a couple of year back on September 7th. A Hurricane hit Bermuda, their itinerary was changed to going up the coast of New England. Since he lived in New England and could drive to most of these ports, he was extremely disappointed. They also were not told of the itinerary change until they go to the ship. Everyone was packed with summer clothes, but the weather here in New England called for sweatshirts and pants. He had to spend extra $$ on some warmer clothes. Unfortunately that was his first and last cruise. I hope you don't encounter that, but that's what happened to my cousin.
