Roatan

Haven't done Coral Cay, but I have been into Roatan (on NCL). Ships anchor a fair distance away, and the tender ride in is one of the longest I can ever remember. Also, local boats were used as tenders, none from the ship.

Roatan was fun though...it's not built up (yet) and hasn't fully felt the effects of cruise pax. I hope you enjoy it.

We were in Roatan last year on a Celebrity ship and we DOCKED so that made things a bit easier.

If you haven't already, you might enjoy going to the Ports of Call Board and checking under Roatan.

The folks who went on the "Beach Break" (offered by the ship) seemed to really enjoy it. We'll probably do that next time.

Here are two excursions normally offered by cruise ships that I do NOT recommend:

Sailing Yacht Adventure ... or ... Catamaran Sail, Snorkel, & Beach Experience (Click Here for Reviews)

Be sure to plan to do something! You wouldn't want to be stuck in that port town (Coxen Hole) for the WHOLE day!

We'd love to go back to Roatan -- awesome snorkeling!

Happy Sailing! OCruisers :)
