Mercury to Mexico

WE HAVE OFFICALLY BOOKED THE MERCURY FOR THE 12/6 SAILING TO THE MEXICAN RIVIERA!!! Also, we are going to have our FIRST BALCONY cabin (9151)!! I am so excited to try Celebrity, and I hope it is all that everyone on this board has said. Now, all I have to do is wait for six months...... icon_eek.gif Now I will have plenty of time to look into great tours to book on our own instead of through the ship. Any suggestions??

You are going to love Mercury. We sailed to the Mexican Riviera last October and are going again this Oct. The passengers tend to be older but they have a great time and we met so many wonderful people (we are in our 50's) I think she is our favorite ship - but then we love cruising and could make the most out of any ship.

Thanks Rosie, I went to the website and the Dream Seaker sounds wonderful!! These are the types of tours that can make your cruise so memorable. I have emailed Dennis to get more information, and I let him know that "Rosie" from the Cruise Critic message board referred us to his yacht. Does anybody out there have any other "special" recommendations for tours in any of the other ports in the Mexican Riviera? If so, PLEASE SHARE!!!

Thanks, Peggy

  • 1 month later...

Hi my 2cents worth on the Mercury - We sailed on her first 2 years ago to Alaska out of Vancouver. that experience completely sold us on Celebrity

overall. took the Hawaii to Mexico cruise last thanksgiving and now we are booked again on the Mercury out of San Diego to Mexico over New Years (a Celebrity Escaptes Adult only cruise).

I dont think you can go wrong with Celebrity or the sailing on the Mercury.

Have a GREAT TIME - we are looking forward to the trip too.

We took this trip in February of this year and loved it. The ship and it's crew worked hard to make us have a wonderful time.

The ports were great. The Mexican towns were clean and the people were great.

Go and enjoy!

Hi Califgary! We are going back to Hawaii this December on Infinity again.

As to what to do in port, in Mazatlan we booked horse back riding on the beach with Randi's Happy Horses. It was great. Check the Mexico section in Ports of Call on the boards.
