Has anyone done the rainforest excursion?

I have 2 teenagers, I think they would like it. Do I have to go through Royal or can we go on our own?

There are other places that offer rainforest tours from hotels, don't know if they pick up at the port. Of course you could rent a car and drive yourself. As I recall it was about 30-45 minutes from our San Juan hotel. Unless there is a big $$ savings I think it would be easiest to book it through RCCL.

 

We enjoyed the rainforest! Of course it rained there :)

MUCH cheaper to do this on your own. Plus - it's nice to do the rainforest at your own pace and swim under the waterfall as long as you like. Rent a car from Charlies and drive yourself. We've done it many times - very easy to find.
