Any QV news?

If QV is “scheduled” to debut in January 2007, shouldn't the keel be laid within the next month or so? To mu understanding it takes about 18 to build a ship.

I know when I was on QE2 at XMAS they wer taking deposits for QV Jan, 2007.

Many rumors about QV are floating the internet. One of which. The ship had already been started. And that only the front bow piece is being constructed right now, it will be put aside for construction of the Carnival Freedom(I believe?) then construction will start again on QV. Some people even doubt that QV will ever be built, that Cunard is looking to take over the Pacific And Tahitian Princesses. From what I gather, delivery isn't supposed to be till the very end of 2007 and maiden voyage is in early 2008. I do hope she is built, but I hope she is more QM2 than what the Arcadia has become. I guess only time will tell. This ship has the strangest history so far.

Scheduled debut of QV has been pushed back from January 2007 to December 2007, as part of the latest deal between Carnival and Fincantieri.
