Any bus tour to Peggy's Cove, Halifax?

Recommended Posts

Ship excursion charged quite high. We don't feel like renting a car just to go there as this is only place we are interested to visit but far from Port. Other places are not far from cruise terminal. It is only 3 of us so going for private tour seems steep. I am looking for bus tour if there is any?

You may find other people on your cruise are arranging private tours which you can join. Go to the Roll Call section on Cruise Critic and find your cruiseline and the date of your cruise.

I did a google search and found these companies which may be doing tours you could take:

We took a van taxi I think it was about $130 for up to 6 people and was a 3-4 hour tour. I thougt it was great value. We didn't pre book anything, we just walked off the ship and out to the cab area. It was nice because we could stop when we wanted and stay in places as long as we wanted. We even stopped to do a little shopping on the way back to the ship!

Tour guides wait right outside the terminal and you can team up with others to go on a private tour.

Contact Jonathan Duru <yourcab@icloud.com> My friends didn't want to come ashore so I took a tour with him last week. He put me together with some other people who had contacted him and then he took us on a wonderful day trip to Peggy's Cove. Make sure you visit Ivan Fraser, author of Peggy of the Cove and go to Ryers for lobster ($10 for a whole lobster!)

I used Halifax Taxi Tours. You can see the website here: http://www.halifaxtaxitours.com/.

They charge $50 per hour. They do not charge per person.

My husband, myself, my dad and my step mom took this tour. We loved it. He will take you anywhere you want to go. We chose to go to Peggy's Cove and the Titanic cemetery. What was nice was the driver could tell us and show us things he thought we would be interested in we wouldn't have even known to ask! He also took us a to a store selling anything and everything maple. And everything was way cheaper there than the tourist spots outside the cruise ship terminal.
