puschi1906 Posted July 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2013 Has anybody done the Rainforest Tour and can tell me how much of walking up steps will be there? I have contacted Louis from "Louie Vip Tours" and asked if the Tour is ok for someone with knee problems. He answered "The hike is rated "Moderate" by the US Forest Service". I have no clue what that means. I can walk and go down steps, but have problems going up a lot of steps. Any advice? Or has anybody done a Tour with Louies VIP Tours? Thank you! texancruzer Posted July 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2013 We did a tour with the cruise line (Princess) and unless you climb the observation tower there aren't ALOT of steps. More an uneven path with inclines. It is wet in many areas and can be slippery and even some roots and rough spots in some areas. I didn't think it was too bad but I do not have knee issues either.... just out of shape  One more thing: it would also depend on what trail you are talking about doing. There are many and they are all levels of difficulty...... so keep that in mind.
puschi1906 Posted July 17, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted July 17, 2013 Thank you for your reply! I think we won't do it, it would be a waste of money if I see during the trip that I can't do some of the paths. Not to mention the observation tower, I don't believe there is an elevator in it....
