lovetotravel68 Posted July 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2013 Does anyone know what night the Blessing Ceremony is held on? I know it is held while in Bora Bora but is it usually the first night or the second? We are on the 10 night cruise - I don't know if that makes any difference... Gardening Girl Posted July 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2013 We just returned home last week from a 10 nite PG cruise. Our free anniversary ceremony was on the 1st day in Bora Bora, around 5 or 5:30p.m. held in La Palette on Deck 8. They did a really nice job, Le Gauguines sang a song, a beautiful poem was read, champagne, cake & photo's taken while wrapped in the special blanket. It was very special to celebrate our 20th anniversary with many other couples, we had several honeymooners & anniversaries up to 60 years. Happy Anniversary & Have a Great Cruise!!! lovetotravel68 Posted July 17, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted July 17, 2013 Thank you GardeningGirl! We can plan our excursions properly now :) Haha no danger of being the last in the blanket Tiki - by the time we get onboard we would have been married for one week :D
Tikiintahiti Posted July 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 17, 2013 In FP you don't do the 'tango' under the blanket ............... remember it's in the tropics ;)
ALB0711 Posted July 17, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 17, 2013 On the Cook Island Cruise we also had the blessing the first night in Bora Bora at I think 5PM. We went with a group of friends to Bloody Mary's afterwards. It was a really nice ceremony!
sita Posted July 17, 2013 #7 Share Posted July 17, 2013 The ceremony is usually held the first night in BoraBora at sunset (the second night, the ship is leaving BB at this time, typically). Sunsets in FP are quick not lingering (due to the curvature at the equator) and earlier than many are used to... 5:30 July - maybe as late as 6:30 in Feb.
