Egypt stop canceled

Dutch newspaper this morning reported that HAL is canceling stops in Egypt.

Very smart move. All cruise lines should be wary of dropping off passengers in any volatile country. Liability for the passengers' safety should be the line's number one priority. It is obviously a financial loss to the merchants, tour operators, vendors, etc., but a kidnapped or dead cruise passenger isn't worth the gamble.

Are all of HAL's calls on the Med side of Egypt? Are any on the Red Sea?

Seabourn has also cancelled Odyssey's stop

Silversea dropped the two Egypt ports last week for the Sept sailing we are on... Added another day in Ashdod and Marmaris, Turkey.
