Hobby to Galveston

I'm sure this is asked plenty, but I'm going to ask again anyways.

 

Anyone have a recommendation for a shuttle from Hobby to Galveston? My wife and I are looking at taking a Disney cruise in October (the timing coincides to when we would need to be in Houston for a family event) and it appears Disney does not provide transfers to/from Hobby.

 

Unfortunately, we are probably going to have to fly in day of, so no pre-cruise hotel for us. We'll probably due a post-cruise airport transfer to get a rental car as we will need it for the family event.

On our last cruise out of Galveston, we "pricelined" a rental out of Hobby, and parked it at the port, so it was there when we got back... It was pretty comparable in cost compared to the transfer, and we could do what we wanted before and after the cruise.

I'm contemplating a long rental as well. Though it does seem like a waste to be paying for a car to sit in a parking lot for a week.

Well, I did some more hunting and the price for a car rental is more than a private car round trip. Think that is the route I'll be going.

How low were you able to get the Priceline car for. I am hoping to get it for $15 a day which turns into $190 for the week plus paying to park it in port parking. It seems like a lot but we hae a group of 5 and so paying $45 each for transfers comes with less flexibility and the same price tag.
