Just came across these today while surfing the net, some dramatic and thrilling pictures of the QM2 during her maiden arrival in Hamburg. What makes the shots particularly startling is they appear to have been taken from the vantage point of a local tug boat.

Great pictures - I agree the angle is great and shows how truly huge she is! I can't believe how close the tug gets. Some of those shots look like the Queen will mow them right down.

Fantastic photos from a truely unique perspective. Some of them are simply amazing.

 

I wonder if the footage shot by the video crew on the tug is available on the web.

 

My Hamburg friend told me that QM2 had a spectacular maiden entry, he sure wasn't exaggerating.
